TV software solutions provider ADB will debut its next-generation, personal TV software platform, Graphyne 2, at IBC.

Graphyne 2 represents an extension of ADB’s existing portfolio of Connected Solutions, which ADB says enables both pay-TV and OTT operators to deliver personalised user interfaces and second-screen applications that allow customers to quickly and easily browse and select content and services.

Key features of Graphyne 2 include:
• Cloud-based middleware to harmonise the user experience across all screens
• A multiscreen design said to ‘mirror’ consumer instincts, so that operators provide the right services on the right screen
• A new immersive and flexible UX, based around personal recommendations, to help consumers find the most relevant content
• Comprehensive CRM capabilities to enable monetisation through applications such as ad-insertion and targeted marketing

Alongside Graphyne 2, ADB will also demo a new second-screen companion app that allows operators to add additional consumer functionality without incurring additional hardware costs. The app, which is free of charge, will offer features such as global search, management of multiple recordings and channel lists, along with the capability to allow users to browse multiple personalised VOD libraries on their chosen device, without complex navigation through a remote control.

The app can also act as a communication channel for operators, allowing them to execute personalised communication campaigns in real-time.
