Polish broadcaster TVN is making drone racing available on its streaming service, Player.pl. Viewers can get access to the content via the ‘player PLUS’ package for SL 9.99 per month. TVN reckons the Drone Racing League is “a sport of the future”, pointing to complicated tracks, 160 km/h speeds and acrobatic moves.
The Drone Racing League (DRL) consists of five races in different cities and pilots can qualify for a World Championship race as the finale. DRL is also available on Sky Sports Mix (Sky has invested $1m in the sport), ESPN and Prosieben MAXX. Races are held at inspiring locations like an abandoned 40-acre 1970s shopping mall in Los Angeles. The Player.pl streaming service is a combination of 20 live channels and a huge on-demand library, with various paid content bundles available.
